Being born into a rodeo family, Olin roped his first calf when he
was 3 years old. Though playing football was a great love, nothing
could replace the rodeo arena.
Olin's big guns that he's hauling these days are his good Bull
dogging horse Eagle Eye, haze horse Pax. When not riding his
own horse Eagle Eye you'll find Kenny Holland's horse Dash
getting Olin across the line.
Olin and his wife Natalie, live and are raising their two daughter in
Malad, Idaho. …Olin, comes from a long line of rodeo cowboys
and cowgirls who's love of the sport reached beyond the inside of
the arena. Olin's late father, Jack, was a five-time qualifier for the
Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Jack qualified once in tie-down
roping in 1977 and four times in steer wrestling 1978, '79, '80,
& '83. Jack also served as a PRCA administrator for many years.
Olin's late mother, Lynn, was an elementary school teacher who
twice worked the National Finals Rodeo as a timer.
Olin’s younger brother, Jake, shares the passion of rodeo and
qualified for the Wrangler NFR in 2007 as a tie-down roper.
When Olin, is home he enjoys wood working and building custom
cabinets. He also enjoys being outdoors hunting and fishing with
his family. Olin's faith has always been a driving factor in his life
and always makes time to give his time and energy to his church.
In 2007, Olin thought a buddy was playing a joke on him that
Vogue magazine was doing a Western attire photo layout with
Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron… This proved to
be no joke.
In high school, being called the "Star Quarterback" was an
understatement! He was a Class 5A MVP quarterback for Fremont
High Plain City, Utah and backed up future San Diego Chargers
QB Philip Rivers at North Carolina State University in Raleigh,
North Carolina. The orginal Wolfpack.
